Lessons from my first year as a founder

Starting a company is one of the most rewarding and humbling things you can do. Here are the lessons that stuck with me from year one.
1. Talk to customers before you build
Every week spent building without customer conversations is a week of guessing.
2. Cash is oxygen
Know your runway to the week. It changes how you make every decision.
Speed matters, but direction matters more.
3. Hire slowly, part ways quickly
Your early team defines your culture for years to come.
- Hire for values and slope, not just experience.
- Write down what great looks like for each role.
- Give honest feedback early.
